ULUND - Lund University

 Lund University (LU) is the largest institution of research and higher education in Scandinavia. Lund University is one of top 100 universities in the world, including world leading nanoscience and neuroscience research, LU is ranked 82 in Times higher education ranking (http://www.timeshighereducation.co.uk/world-university-rankings/2012-13/world-ranking), LU has place number 71 in QS world university ranking (http://www.topuniversities.com/university-rankings/world-university-rankings/2012?page=2) and places 101-150 in Academic ranking of world universities (http://www.shanghairanking.com/ARWU2012.html). The University has a significant experience from EU Research and has participated in over 650 projects from framework programme 4 and onwards, mainly in the areas of Science Medicine, and Technology. In FP7 researchers are involved in more than 250 projects, in all areas of research.

The Neuronano research Center (NRC) at Lund University is an excellence center in Sweden financed by the Swedish Research Council (10 year grant) and the private Knut and Alice Wallenberg foundation. In a recent 5 year evaluation NRC came out as the number one of the Linnaeus centers in Sweden and got the largest increase in funding for the next half period of the project.
